$129,000

Seadacious is a Charles Morgan design that brings together his many years of experience and knowledge of building safe and comfortable cruising and liveaboard sailing vessels.

Morgan’s Heritage Yacht Corporation built this semi-custom cutter rigged, center cockpit ketch in 1977.

This design includes many “must see” attributes including a diesel engine heating system, custom built mahogany full cockpit dodger, modified full keel, incredible 6’6” & 7’ interior headroom, large workbench,  very large aft  master cabin with a queen sized bed and washer/dryer, a two entry aft shower and lots of provision storage space throughout.

If you need a sailing home or office, a fully off-grid/self-contained cruising sailboat and a gorgeous classic style boat, Seadacious would be a great choice.

Information From The Owners Of Seadacious

Information from the Owners of Seadacious:

This Charles Morgan designed cutter ketch is a fast, spacious, center cockpit, modified full keel boat with an 85 HP Perkins Diesel engine.  She is a unique, gorgeous, one-of-a kind yacht. Only 13 were built.   Always the Queen of the harbors we have visited. Everyone wanted to know all about her.  She is sturdy and safe and has all the amenities you would want/expect in a high quality live aboard cruising sailboat. Below, she has lots of beautiful woodwork, lots of head room, plenty of storage for provisions, etc., two heads so everyone has privacy, interior and exterior showers, air conditioning, water maker and solar panels (you can be totally self-sufficient). Even a central vacuum.

The galley is equipped with a large refrigerator and a freezer, two sinks, gimbaled stove, spice racks, stowage cabinets and a microwave. The beautiful shelf divider between galley and dining is convenient for cookbooks, hanging produce, place mats, a pass through, or?

The chart table is large and can easily be put into service as an at home/boat office. It even has a fold up shelf where you can put a printer.

The main salon is gorgeous with lots of woodwork and a dining table that will seat six or seven.  There is a TV, DVD player, boat wide stereo, and shelving.  A large settee across from the dining table can accommodate your guests.  There is an ample provisioning system (shelves & baskets) behind the settee.  Also, lots of under floor provisions storage space.  We recently recovered all cushions.

Cockpit:  The full mahogany custom cockpit dodger is a dream.  This area expands the livable space and provides valuable protection in inclement weather or rough seas.  There are isinglass surrounds for the open spaces which allows for a complete enclosure.  The boat is rigged so that you can control the ship from the cockpit and stay high and dry!  Very important for a happy crew!

We have loved Seadacious and have made many additions and improvements during our 11 years of part time cruising/adventuring.  We have listed some below.

We have repaired, added, replaced or improved the following:

Bottom ceram kote, rigging, electrical, bilge pumps, electronics, new sails, holding tank, isinglass cockpit surround, life raft, propane tanks, solar controller, audio system, wind generator controller, refrigerator, freezer, upholstery, diesel water pump & injectors, alternator, hatches, clothes washer/dryer, vacuum, LED lighting, sub-electrical board at pedestal, batteries, fuel tank, house batteries, starting battery, fire extinguishers, etc., etc., etc.   AND, always maintained the yacht we care about.  Thank you for your interest in this great boat!
