Jeff began his adventure in boating in the 60s aboard his dad’s 27’ Chris Craft, and later piloting his 47’ Stevens Motoryacht. He started working in the yard at Shady Oaks Marina in the 70’s painting bottoms and re-caulking wooden boats. Jeff sold his first boat in 1983; a brand new 21’ Sea Ray, and has been selling ever since. Over the years he has represented Sea Ray, Sea Ox, Marinette, Boston Whaler, Wellcraft, Bayliner, Maxum, Meridian, Maritimo, Tiara, Marquis, Silverton, Sea Ray again and Beneteau. All told he has sold, or sales-managed, the sale of almost 2,000 boats. While he trained over the years at various new-boat manufacturers and toured more than a dozen plants, his real calling is brokerage: helping people sell their boats and finding people to buy them. It’s the relationship facet that makes his profession a joy more than a job. The most rewarding part of the job is taking a buyer from a tentative feel that they should be boaters, and helping them transition into a recreational lifestyle of boating that will last the rest of their lives.
