Unique
The OceanClass 68 Fly Hybrid, as a CE Category A vessel, has the unique ability to transition between electric propulsion to diesel propulsion. It also affords the ability to disconnect from shore power without ever touching a generator. Imagine running a boat all day, and spending days on an anchor ball, without ever having to go to a marina or ever starting a generator.

Innovative
The automatic switching ability from electric to diesel and vice versa is remarkably innovative because previous generations required manual switching by the operator. The OceanClass 68 Fly Hybrid allows for switching automatically from electric to diesel as throttle position increases, then reverting back to electric as throttle position is decreased all without any user interaction.

Functional
Ergonomics at the helm stations, particularly the fly bridge helm, makes the OceanClass 68 Fly extremely functional. Visibility down the companionway to the stern from the fly bridge helm offers the ease of docking either port or stern to situations. Couple this feature with a lower helm station to starboard with its side door and this makes the OC68 versatile in any docking situation. Furthermore, the wheel falls into place at the hands without stooping to reach it and the rail along the port side is at a height to make it comfortable and ergonomic.
