Main

This Wilbur 30 is an excellent example of an authentic Maine-built Downeast cruiser. Despite its fashionable good looks, where it counts the Wilbur is all-business. This 30' has the same ride quality and sea-keeping ability that made Wilbur Yachts famous over the decades among fishermen and coastal cruisers alike. With her steep entry and soft chines, she will tackle the chop and slop in a way that exudes capability and instills confidence.

Scout has been lovingly maintained by her current owners, who are now considering steering another course in boating.

Walkthrough

Entering from the starboard, you'll step aboard the comfortable gunnel into a broad, unobstructed cockpit. Across the stern is a custom teak-slatted bench seat.    Moving forward, you'll walk through the canvas drop-curtain and step up onto the teak-floored bridge deck.

To port is the companion seat with fore/aft backrest. It converts to an aft-facing lounge. the seat box has a long, flip-up dining table that folds down well out of the way for engine access.   A large center-line floor hatch allows access to the engine compartment. To starboard is the captain's seat. Driving is either seated or standing behind the teak-finished helm with destroyer wheel.

Forward, to center is the bi-fold companionway door to the cabin. Entering the cabin, you'll find, to port, a complete galley with stainless sink with hot and cold, a two-burner propane stove, ample cupboard and drawer storage and a like-new, under-counter refrigerator with freezer.

Across to starboard is the enclosed head compartment, featuring stainless sink, marine head, and separate stall shower. Forward, to the bow is the spacious V-berth with fill cushion.   Going forward from the cockpit, there are ample gunnels and teak grab rails on both the factory hard top and the cabin top.

The foredeck is surrounded with tall welded stainless safety rail. The bow is equipped with a centerline cleat, line chocks, a hawse-pipe a teak bow pulpit where a stainless anchor chute is mounted, cradling a Danforth-style anchor.
