Yacht Sales International along with Greenline Yachts is joining the Piper’s Angels Foundation for the epic paddle journey from Bimini Bahamas to Florida in June of 2021.

The Mission

The Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis is a long-distance endurance paddle challenge and international championship that takes paddlers 80 miles across the Gulf Stream from Bimini in the Bahamas back to the Florida mainland in Lake Worth. The event was inspired because of the incredible health benefits of the Ocean for those living with cystic fibrosis. Travis Suit’s daughter Piper was diagnosed with CF when she was four years old.The mission of the Piper’s Angels Foundation is to support and improve the lives of families in the cystic fibrosis community by raising awareness through education, offering life expanding activities, providing urgent financial support, and funding critical research.

The Founder

The founder of Piper’s Angels, Travis Suit’s daughter was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at four years of age.  After learning about how the ocean has incredible healing benefits for those with CF, he created the Crossing For A Cure event in 2013. Together with four paddlers, they raised $15,000 that year.  Since then, the Piper’s Angels Foundation was launched in 2017 to help CF families with innovative social services.  The Crossing For CF has raised over $1,000,000 since its inception and is now the largest boating event in the Bahamas, as well as the top fundraising paddle event in the world, with 200+ paddlers, 80+ boats, and $675,000 in fundraising.

About Cystic Fibrosis

Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. In people with CF, a defective gene causes a thick, buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas and other organs. In the lungs, the mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria leading to infections, extensive lung damage and eventually, respiratory failure. In the pancreas, the mucus prevents the release of digestive enzymes that allow the body to break down food and absorb vital nutrients.

YSI & Greenline: The Journey

Inspired by the Piper’s Angels mission and a passion to change the way North America does its boating, Team YSI Fort Lauderdale will paddle over 80 miles of ocean behind the Greenline Yachts.  Greenline Yachts, the only hybrid boat producer in the world provides the perfect emission free solution for eco-friendly responsible boating.  While underway, the Greenline Hybrid will cruise silently at 4-5 knots on pure electric power making way for paddlers Brewster, Peter, and Tim to make their way back from Bimini to West Palm Beach  all while breathing the air of the ocean, not fumes from a diesel motor or generator.

Any donation contributes to the success of Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis 2021!  If you are interested in paddling behind a Greenline or  sponsorship information contact us at
